Delete your account

1. How to delete your account

Sign in at simple.meight.com, open Settings → Profile and choose Delete account. Deletion is immediate, cancels any subscription, and removes everyone else from the workspaces you own. You can also email support@meight.com from the address your account uses, with “Account deletion” as the subject, and we complete it within 30 days.

2. What we delete

  • Your login and account record: email address, display name, and handle.
  • The reusable signature image saved to your profile, if you saved one.
  • Your saved contacts (the shippers, carriers, and consignees suggested while you type).
  • Your API keys, and your workspaces’ contacts (company name, VAT number, address) and saved vehicles (plates).
  • Draft documents you own that were never issued.
  • Your membership of any workspace, and the workspaces you own — their other members lose access. A workspace that issued documents is emptied and kept only so those documents stay readable.

3. What we keep, and why

A transport document that has been issued is a record shared with the other parties to the consignment, and a signature on it is evidence they relied on. Deleting your account does not delete those:

  • Issued and signed documents, and the signature records attached to them (signatory name, timestamp, and the IP address captured at signing), are retained for as long as record-keeping and evidentiary obligations require.
  • Invoices and payment records are kept for the period tax law requires, typically up to ten years.

Retained records are dissociated from your login: your account is gone, and what remains is the document itself. When no obligation requires them any longer, we delete or anonymise them.

4. Your other options

You can ask us to export or correct your data instead of deleting it, and you can object to specific processing. See the privacy policy for the full list of rights and for how to complain to a supervisory authority. Questions go to support@meight.com, where Meight Technologies SA answers them.
